An Actor´s Task:Engaging the Senses Baron Kelly
Going the path towards Sustainability seems to be a very complex task for all actors to recognize and deal with the web of life. In this context the Nordic countries are often mentioned to be norm entrepreneurs in a variety of parameters (e.g. Global Happiness Index, wealth, social system, SDG´s, Ecological Footprint). For this purpose the reader will be shown what the main patterns of Sustainability are in each Nordic country presented by researches of all these countries. Exists there are special Nordic Sustainability? What are the critical aspects of Sustainability in the Nordics? By using systemic and narrative methods some knots are discovered in an interdisciplinary way. But the critical analysis finishes not in merely quantifying. It will be enlarged by a qualitative analysis as well. Each author got a maximum amount of freedom in understanding Sustainability in their countries. SDG´s are only used in an indirect way relative to the author´s position. Similarities and differences between the Nordics may be found from a neutral perspective by German researchers in the end of the book. How did Shakespeare´s plays sound when they were originally performed? How can we know, and could the original pronunciation ever be recreated? For three days in June 2004 Shakespeare´s Globe presented their production of Romeo and Juliet in original, Shakespearian pronunciation. In an unusual blend of autobiography, narrative, and academic content, reflecting the unique nature of the experience, this 2005 book by David Crystal recounts the first attempt in over 50 years to mount a full-length Shakespeare play in original pronunciation. Crystal begins by discussing the Globe theatre´s approach to ´original practices´, which has dealt with all aspects of Elizabethan stagecraft - except pronunciation. A large section is devoted to the nature of the Early Modern English sound system. There are reports of how the actors coped with the task of learning the pronunciation, how it affected their performances and how the audiences reacted.

The Gourmet Detective did not expect his job to be easy. He had been sent by Desmond Lansdown, respected actor and London´s premier restaurateur, to find the best chef in Italy. But even the most difficult tasks can be savored when one enjoys his work, and the sleuth happily immerses himself in his duties, sampling the peninsula´s finest cuisine with his beautiful and mysterious guide, Francesca. But between courses of boccocini--vol au vents filled with chicken giblets and truffles - and strangolopreti - a gnocchi and spinach dish whose name means ´´priest stranglers´´ - the determined gourmet begins to suspect that someone is trying to kill him. And when an agricultural magnate with whom he has enjoyed several meals turns up facedown in a swimming pool, the Gourmet Detective must dodge stampeding buffalo, a kamikaze airplane, and a killer monk, while at the same time choosing the perfect chef and solving the perfect murder. In a country where chefs enjoy a celebrity status second only to their food, would one kill to be the best? In Death al Dente, the fourth installment in the Gourmet Detective series, the discerning sleuth finds himself embroiled in a sizzling mixture of food and passion. Can he discover the murderer´s motive before his own goose is cooked? 1. Language: English. Narrator: David Baker. Audio sample: http://samples.audible.de/bk/adbl/005915/bk_adbl_005915_sample.mp3. A range of actors, including the domestic and regional (i.e. EU) legislatures, national and international standard-setting bodies, and private and voluntary sector organizations supply the legal and nonlegal norms, principles, standards, guidelines, and rules that go to make up the framework which is assigned with the task of governing corporate finance and related activities in the whole of UK. The common purpose underlying this vast body of regulatory activity is to establish an optimal package of commands and incentives to stimulate desirable behavior and to curb undesirable behavior by affected parties. 1. The city of Astreiant has gone crazy with enthusiasm for a new play, The Drowned Island, a lurid farrago of melodrama and innuendo. Pointsman Nicolas Rathe is not amused, however, at a real dead body on stage and must investigate. A string of murders follow, perhaps related to the politically important masque that is to play on that same stage. Rathe must once again recruit the help of his lover, former soldier Philip Eslingen, whose knowledge of actors and the stage, and of the depths of human perversity and violence, blends well with Rathe´s own hard-won experience with human greed and magical mayhem. Their task is complicated by the season, for it is the time of year when the spirits of the dead haunt the city and influence everyone, and also by the change in their relationship when the loss of Philip´s job forces him to move in with Nicolas. Mystery, political intrigue, floral magic, astrology, and romance - both theatrical and personal - combine to make this a compelling listen. [Unexpectedly Open - Parishes in Civil Society] Where is the place of church in an increasingly unchurched society? What are its tasks? Should it deal mainly with itself and itsmembers or open up to the surrounding social area? In six case studies these questions are dealt with in detail. Congregational actors as well as other people who are actively involved in civil society were asked about their relationships, cooperations and mutual perceptions. The results show a surprising openness of the parishes towards their environment as well as of the associations, initiatives, groups, local politicians and other actors towards the parishes - surprising, because church is often labeled as old-fashioned, out-dated. However, parishes obviously fulfill central functions for the community, according to the specific conditions on site.
